For the Fourth of July this year we started out the day by hiking in the hills South of Rock Springs. There was a little rock climbing to be done and some beautiful views. There was a bit of a scary moment as we were leaving when we figured Adam had gone ahead too far for us to see. He had gotten ahead of us, then decided to turn back to find us, but didn't go the right way He actually ended up behind us. While he was looking for us he stepped on a cactus, which sure made him scream a lot louder, and then we were able to hear him. Thank goodness he was okay. As we were making our way back to our car, the poor kid slipped and his hand ended up in another cactus. He couldn't catch a break! We went home after that. ;)
We also watched a couple of movies, had a quick water balloon fight, and made homemade ice cream. Yummy! We finished off the day watching the fireworks.
