Eight is Great!

Guess who turned eight this year? Adam! Yay! We traveled home from Cowley the day before his birthday, so we stopped at the Big Cone for a bit of an early birthday celebration. Ice cream is still yummy when it's cold and snowing outside.

Adam's birthday was on Sunday this year. Before church he opened his presents. He was excited about his very own pocket knife and scriptures with his name on them. He chose pizza for dinner, and peanut butter whip brownies for his birthday cake. Both great choices! He also enjoyed watching some football with Dad.

We love having Adam in our family! He is one of a kind. He's always full of energy, loves sports of all kinds, and was recently voted on to the student counsel. Indoor soccer starts in January and he can't wait! We love you, Adam!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We headed up to Cowley this year for Thanksgiving because Joel took some time off of work. We went up on Tuesday to try and maximize our vacation time. We had a great time while we were there. We ate Thanksgiving dinner with the Robertsons at the Lovell Middle School. We ate in the commons area, and then afterwards there was a lot of basketball playing and running around in the gym. It was a great time and it was nice catching up with a lot of the Robertsons.

Another fun thing that happened that week was that Daniel and Amanda had their baby the Tuesday before Thanksgiving! She came a little earlier than expected, so it was a little bit of a surprise, but everything went well and both Mom and Baby were healthy and home the next day. I got to hold baby Myla on Thanksgiving before we headed to the big dinner, and she was so tiny! It's been awhile since I've held a baby that new, and she is just beautiful.

Another fun thing to see was Audrey and Lydia playing together. Audrey has always loved Lydia, and always wanted to hold her and play with her. But Lydia is now big enough to play back! She is about a year and a half younger than Audrey, but they had so much fun playing together.

We came home on Saturday because Adam's birthday was on Sunday and we didn't want to make him spend most of the day in the car. The weather and roads were a little scary for a bit, but we made it safely. We had a great Thanksgiving!

Audrey found a few second cousins to play with after Thanksgiving dinner. She's a friendly girl.
