Day three of family reunion was picture day! Sad face that Joel wasn't there for a family picture with us. But we had to do the traditional family picture in front of the big fireplace. There was also, big surprise, more game playing! But I should mention the kids didn't just play games. They had a great time outside exploring, playing, getting dirty, and all the other great stuff we do in the mountains.
The evening of the last day we took advantage of the great fire pit they have. We made a nice fire to roast marshmallows and eat s'mores. We also were very entertained by various songs. I do love singing around a campfire! Thanks to David and Rachel for supplying most of the great songs. After the younger kids were in bed and older kids had gone back to the lodge to play one last game, we sat out by the fire and enjoyed some stargazing. It was lovely, chilly, and peaceful.
